Job Description

  • Performs all duties of culinary and related kitchen area in high demand times.
  • Ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met
  • Assists in production and preparation of culinary items.
  • Strives to improve service performance.
  • Leads shifts while personally preparing food items and executing requests based on required specifications.
  • Assists in coordinating activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation.
  • Ensures completion of assigned duties

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role in event kitchen
  • A passionate foodie with the desire to lead the team, encourage, support the Head Chef & Sous Chef
  • A creative approach to the production and presentation of all things culinary
  • Appropriate Trade qualification
  • Prior experience in training and developing the kitchen team
  • Sound knowledge of food trends, HACCP standards and procedures
  • The roster includes weekends and public holidays
