What You’ll Do – Key Responsibilities & Duties
Deliver Excellence Every Time:
Prepare, present & cook high-quality meals for events, strictly following recipe cards and service standards.
Maintain Impeccable Standards:
Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across all kitchen and food prep areas—complying with SOPs, emergency, and first-aid protocols.
Collaborate Seamlessly:
Communicate effectively with colleagues across all levels and front‑of‑house to ensure timely and hot food service.
Stock & Quality Control:
Monitor ingredient freshness, manage inventory levels, place orders, and track stock levels.
Kitchen Setup & Prep:
Set up your workstation with ingredients and equipment; prep ingredients (measure, chop, peel, cut); operate kitchen appliances.
Versatile Support:
Occasionally help with stewarding duties and guide kitchen stewards when needed.
Guest‑Focused Service:
Be professional, friendly, and supportive—mindful of guest allergies and dietary restrictions.
Desired Skills and Experience
Event‑Savvy Cook:
Minimum 1 year in a busy events or catering environment; passionate about food and delivering top-tier experiences.
Culinary Credential:
Certificate III (or equivalent) in Culinary Arts, with at least one year of work experience.
Attention to Detail:
Exceptional care in food quality, hygiene, recipe accuracy, and visual presentation.
Safety & Hygiene Champion:
Fully aware of and compliant with health, safety, and emergency protocols.
Team Player:
Positive, professional communicator with a collaborative mindset.
